it makes me so sad that oso san isn’t as popular as many other anime out there i mean— come on its so unhinged like its so funny— its also my favorite anime of all time 😕

yes i know its a bit popular in its native japan but in other parts of the world— its quite niche and its hard to see people talk about it 🥺

and yes the humor is crude but still— i wish more people knew about this hidden gem-

hell it even has a really funny english dub (its as funny as the original japanese version) that gives off major ghost stories energy (tho it only covers the first two seasons and idk if the third season or the upcoming 4th season will get dubbed at all)

this is an anime i highly recommend checking out if ya’ll are into gag humor— or just comedy/slice of life in general— though quick warning as i said before there are a lot of dirty jokes so please watch with caution

Had to get some really quick doodles out before I got sleepy so here we are! But @spotlightstudios and I finally finished the third game in the We Were Here series!! (We accidentally played the first and went straight to the third, but we still beat it all the same....after some crushing towards the jester on my part..hehe ♡) it took a lot of internet issues, miscommunication, and straight raging for us to finish this game (took us 11 hours) but we loved it all the same.

And now I have a slight headcannon towards our librarian and Adventurer friendship because the way that game ended had me SO SAD (Spot had the audacity to make a decision I was NOT happy with.)

One of my favorite things about my first watch through of Yellowjackets is how blind I went into it. I hadn't heard of it through any social media before I started watching it, but one of my favorite podcasts briefly mentioned that it was one of the shows they were currently watching. They explained it as a girls sports team that has to survive in the wilderness because their plane crashed (which I think is a great and simple way to describe it). And I don't usually go into shows blind, usually I start watching shows cause I've heard a lot about it and one or a couple of the characters I've seen seem interesting.

like why hasn't this line hit me before i feel like it should be up there with all the other ones that make us all cry

Why do we like Oz?

Maybe because it’s a whole show about men and their emotions. Maybe it’s because we believe men can cry and be broken. Maybe it’s because men are fully fleshed out human beings who can experience a multitude of feelings.

Oz is about men and their emotions, plain and simple. It’s about sorrow and fury and joy and loss. A whole show just showcasing men and their feelings. That’s why Oz was such a groundbreaking show. Not because it was an original prison show. Not because it had some great names in it. Not even for some of the stupid ass plots (basketball and whatnot). But the look on Beecher’s face when he hears about his son. Or on Peter’s face after Adebisi and the Aryans. Or on Miguel’s face after his baby. Oz is about feeling the purest form of any emotion. THAT’S why we like Oz.

The reality show mold has been forever broken for the better by a niche gay dating show in Taiwan. Episode 8 of Boys Like Boys (on the hilariously named network GagaOOLala) uses the typical elimination vote to produce a commentary on self-hatred, suicidality, and the cruelty of reality show formats along with the broader individualist mindset they invoke. These are especially sensitive topics for the queer world, and the fact that the show allows it to be addressed with such eloquence by its cast is exceptional by itself. That the producers braid the theme within the very structure of the show transforms it into a gentle reality miracle!
